A soft and puffy Indian styled bread, this soft laadi pao has it's roots in Mumbai and gets its name from the way it is baked, in a set of 6, traditionally called a 'laadi' by the bakers of the by-lanes of Mumbai where this was the staple bread made in wood-fired old ovens. Used best with Indian curries and gravies, this soft bread just soaks up the curry & gravy and is the stand-in for the roti or rice in Indian cuisine
