English cucumbers were bred to make a better version of the existing normal cucumber. They are known as burpless, seedless or European cucumbers. They are sweeter and less bitter than the regular cucumber and the skin is thinner. They are excellent for use in salads, raw side dishes, creamy dips and cucumber sandwiches. Store in refrigerator.
