The Imam Pasand is a lesser known and exclusive mango variety grown in Andhra Pradesh. It is said to have been the fruit of choice for India’s royalty. With hints of coconut and lime, the Imam Pasand is very different from the usual varieties of sweet mangoes. They are used in curries and cooked dishes. All mangoes are best stored in their packaging until ripe. Once ripe, remove them from the packaging and store in a cool, dry place. Refrigerate if required before consuming.
