White onions have an all-white skin and flesh and are not as pungent as other varieties of onions. They are great in providing the flavour of onions but keeping it mild at the same time. The flesh is firm, crisp and juicy and crunchy with a mild sweet flavour. They are great for roasting, grilling, sauteeing and stir frying.
